Khetag Tsabolov is a costume designer working in drama theatre, opera, and contemporary dance projects across Russia, Europe, Asia and the US. Originally from North Ossetia, he graduated from the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) and holds an MFA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the United States.
Khetag has designed costumes for a range of international productions, including work with the Drama Theatre in Estonia, the opening ceremony of the Guangzhou Circus in China, and participation in the Prague Quadrennial in the Czech Republic. His design approach combines a deep understanding of historical silhouettes with experimental use of materials, always in service of the narrative and expressive visual language of the performance
